Money doesn’t have to be stressful.
Are you interested in learning more about how to plan for big financial goals like retirement, your children’s education, or to buy your first house, but you don’t know where to start? I can help.
“Most people were never taught financial literacy at home or in school. Understanding how money works and can work for you – will impact the life you lead, and that of your children and family. Not only that, when we thrive financially, we are able to extend more support to our communities and causes we care about. I believe we can change our lives with financial literacy, and I want to help make that a reality for as many people as possible.”
– Tamara White Hutchinson
What should I expect if I work with you?
Understand
The first step of the process is understanding where you are at. We will work together to understand your personal and financial circumstances including income, expenses, investments, long term debt, as well as insurance coverage and estate planning documents. We will also work together to identify and select clear goals you would like to achieve.
Analyze
I will analyze all components of your current financial situation/current plan of action and provide potential alternatives.
Develop & Present
Based on the information provided, I will develop the planning recommendations and lastly, present the recommendations and provide you with a comprehensive plan.
Please note, that at this time I do not implement financial planning recommendations or provide plan monitoring services. If you are looking for these services, I recommend checking the CFP Board website to find a professional who can meet your needs.
Where and when do we meet?
I provide virtual financial planning and money coaching. I meet on Zoom, or depending on the issue we are discussing phone calls work as well. I also am happy to communicate with my clients via email and text message.
I like to meet with clients at least three times during the term of our agreement. After we agree to work together, a first meeting is scheduled where we talk more about your goals and objectives. I then ask you to start the process of gathering the necessary information needed to create your financial plan. This process can take clients anywhere from one week to one month to complete. After the materials are gathered, I like to have a second meeting to talk through any missing documents and questions they may have. Finally, once the financial plan is created I schedule a final meeting to present the plan to the client. Many clients also ask for a fourth meeting to discuss particular needs they have such as budgeting or better understanding their retirement plans.
Who Uses a Financial Planner or Money Coach?
Most of my clients are in their 30s and 40s. They are both single and coupled professionals and business owners with household incomes in the six-figures. Many are the first in their families to graduate from college or to earn the amount of money that they do. They are awesome, smart people that want to learn how to better manage their finances and grow their wealth.
“The guidance and feedback that I have received has given me a greater confidence to truly tackle my debt. I feel more informed and knowledgeable so this time around I am making conscious decisions with my spending. I have made such an improvement with my spending that I am now finding myself in the positive, versus the negative each month. Financial literacy can be daunting, but with Tamara’s guidance I truly feel confident and cannot wait to see myself breaking into the six-figure net worth.”
